SCNP goals:

1. Start consistently making day 1 on level 9
2. 2nd Semirare on Acii
3. Tighten up loose areas in runs (there are so many).
4. Chase and beat 3/587 before getting to 2-dayers.
5. Perm Polka and Canticle (this run for sure) and what else? Got Phat, Aria, Mojo, Madrigal, and +/- Combat. Could go for Stevedave and/or Antiphon. I have plenty of Karma.

Current run is going ok. I feel like I had my best day 1 ever in terms of getting stuff done and making like level 8.6 or so. There have been a few hiccups though.

Turn 39 level 6 is probably a personal record but I'm sure I can do better, especially with level 5 coming on turn 17. Today I decided I would get all of the starter-area stuff I needed down out of the way. That meant there were a few extra turns in the pantry and I still didn't come up with the encryption key. ALso, I accidentally took the Tree-Holed coing on my first woods NC. I did remember to use resolutions. I'm going to get the ballroom set up without doing the level 6 quest no problem.

Making the stats for the bedroom was tricksy though. Forgot to summon a reagent, not sure what I could have made. Telescope buff + hair spray only put me at ~70 moxie. So I summoned a Muschat and leveraged the +30 moxie to get by there. I found I can even handle the combats with my high ML, which was nice.

Ran + Combat but I'm not sure how much that helps as I though the NC adventures were somewhat fixed in occurrence. Of greater issue here, I forgot to wear the bugbear. The +80something ML was nice but I never saw a rat king and pulled 3 tangles on day 2. I usually get a couple of rat kings; forgetting the BBB did it. I was happy to get tequilas for peppermint twisty drinks only to discover that I had switched to pumpkins in aftercore for reasons unknown. I need to switch back for next run.

I died to the Bonderdragon. I should have waited. 42 turn crypt. I did not pull a ring of conflict and I think I should go back to pulling that on day 1. I summoned the Muschat and I can't remember from clip art on day 1, and then did one sugar sheet to drop onto the Bander at times. I kind of wish I had used a skull in the niche, but that's only like 3 turns saved.

And day. I sort of went ballistic in the mine when 5 adventures had yet to reveal an actual ore. I used 4 more turns there before finding an asbestos.

I pulled a WG for the nightcap. Day 1 booze was tavern swill + 2 pumpkin beers, and of course I pulled MoM + 3 stat key lime pies. I pulled a Jr later in the run for the crypt, and pulled the Swashbuckling outfit to round out day 1. Wound up getting 5 groose gease; I did not intend to use the groose that much.

Turn gen seemed a touch low, though I'm 99% sure I used ode on all booze consumption.

I'm not sure why Mafia is showing 217 for olfacting. I think I tried to do it there only to realize I couldn't. I didn't really want to use them yet because they just aren't as useful at this point. Maybe that's a mistake? This section sort of broke the day. Parser missed one irrelevant adventure.

Should have pulled multile stone wools I guess. I'm still not sure the best way to approach the hidden temple unlock.

Finished day 2 with 2/3 sub zones done for MacGuffin and I am over half way to 12. I forgot to leave the first two bosses up for flyering. As such, I guess I'll save the hidden city for flyering, which means I kick off day 3 with power leveling to 12. Pulled the frat outfit but I should have waited on a YR. Pulled food in anticipation of tomorrow.

Making day 3 shouldn't be an issue. Doing it in <180 turns might be tricky, and I seriously doubt I will beat 587. This was a frustrating day, I feel like it should have gone farther and in my good myst runs I usually complete all 3 11 sub quests (or come very close to doing so). I guess I'll lead off with doing the beach and unlocking the pyramid, then power level until 12 from that point.

I haven't touched my astral pilsner and I have 4 pumpkin beers + 3 more tomorrow if I want; I will likely make them and then do 6 pilsners + 7 pumpkin beers tomorrow. That will generate quite a few turns.

For flyering purposes I guess tomorrow will look like this:

1. Open pyramid (but don't worm ride yet).
2. Level to 12.
3. Get Arena flyers and do LFM/Gremlins.
4. Flyer Nuns.
5. Flyer hidden city

I have no idea where that is going to leave me. I won't have full + ML for nuns, alas, but I will have quite a bit everywhere else (astral belt + radio + cane mail + video drome in CoT + ice sickle + aria). I suppose I could then do 8 turns on the battlefield to open the orchard and then finish flyering on filthworms + tomb rat kings if I need to. I will do some clovering for leveling purposes.

As for the tower, I have to budget a pull for candy and possibly 1 for a bronzed locust (we'll see). Outside of that I just need ! potions, and I already have tomorrow's food + booze, and I Can cook a MoM no problem.

I finished at like 678. Unfortuntely most of the turns are in a log at home and apparently my attempt to copy said log into my drop box folder failed miserably. So I'll return with parsing data later. I can talk about some of the places day 3 went wrong though:

1. I had anaseptis or whatever in effect when I started the nuns. Mafia did not recognize the first turn of meat gain and I did not realize this. So I overran the nuns as a frat and botched the side quest.

2. I had not yet fliered when doing this so I missed the arena meat bonus. Which wasn't a huge deal as I was at >500% meat find already. What was a huge deal was that I planned on flyering bandits and forgot.

3. Flyered gremlins and LFM. However, I botched the LFM copying and wasted a few turns, but only like 3. I got lucky there. I flyered the hidden city, which did not give me any ghosts until space 18 (but It did finish in 22 or 23).

4. I elected not to try unlock the orchard with only 2 side quests complete. This was probably a mistake. I decided to hit the bathroom in an attempt to get the GMOB. I wound up finishing the flyers before getting a chance to summon him. This was a massive turn sink. I pulled the ring of conflict for this.

5. I screwed up tomb ratcheting and I am not clear how. IT was late when I was running my turns, and I could have sworn I saw each rat king drop 3 ratchets. I then picked up a 10th. But I was out of ratchets and a turn or two short of having the bottom layer properly aligned. The NCs in the middle chamber came quickly at least.

I finished the run way over 13. I haven't run moxie in ages so a few mistakes in the ball room were understandable. Once again I have failed to properly flyer the arena without the GMOB. I am frustrated by this performance, which is noteably worse than my bad SLUTS effort.

3/693 in fact.

I don't have post battlefield turns, but they're pretty typical: a few turns adventuring to reveal all the ! potions, the tower, and killing Wisnewski. What I have are all the turns up to 670. And it seems I spent 246 turns to get from the beginning of day 2 to the end of the Battlefield.

Nothing glaring here. As I said I screwed up ballroom power leveling, but there was very little of that after level 9.

My panicked rush to the Bathroom was painful and bad. Though in 40 turns I really feel like I should have seen the GMOB. At -20% combat at that point, that puts the zone at 55% combat. I should have seen 17.55 NCs. I'm fairly certain I rolled under that. And I only saw the mirror adventure 4 times. Actually, here's Bottlenecks:

14 NCs is not egregious or anything, though it is low. But 4 mirror adventures out of 14? Do it and the shower occur at even rates? I'm saying I got screwed here even if it was a bad tactical decision.

Also, 75 ballroom adventures must be doing something wrong.


We start at turn 423. So we're 150 turns into level 11.

Sigh. Like I said, I was under the effects of Groose grease and Mafia threw up on the meat calculation. I usually see a little better than 17 turns at 500%

10 ratchets. I think the mafia firefox combination just lost it's mind here. It said, very clearly, that I was out of ratchets and I needed 1 NC in the middle chaimber on the last set of turns.

And that is another 29 burned turns (ish) due to botching the nuns.

So all in all, it's really easy to see where this run fell apart. Screwing up the nuns and flyering cost me a lot. Screwing up power leveling cost me almost as much, maybe. This is setting aside the likely dozens of little mistakes I made that could cost a turn here or there.
